Savile Row...

[attachment=2499]
Savile Row is a shopping street in Mayfair, central London, famous for its traditional men's bespoke tailoring.

It's also a brand of fine handmade shaving brushes...

Savile Row 3824

[attachment=2492] [attachment=2493]
The SR 3824 is well known on another forum and probably needs little introduction here.
I purchased the brush on the basis of the hype surrounding it and must admit it is deserving of the praise it receives.
The hair is described as Finest Silvertip.
The SR has very soft tips.
Not quite Thater soft or Rooney Heritage "gel-like", but definitely no scritch.
The SR has ample backbone.
Being a 3 band, the SR has more bloom than the afore mentioned 2 band brushes.
The SR is dense, but provides good flow through.
The handle shape provides a comfortable and secure grip.
The only vendor appears to be QED and it is rumoured that SR are made by Shavemac.

I enjoyed using the brush this morning after it spent a lot of time being neglected. I was pleasantly surprised with it and wanted to share my experience...

You don't read to much about this brand, but when you do it is usually positive. Thanks for the review and pictures.

This one's a keeper Jamie!

The loft is fine for me, this is not a scrubby brush, but soft and ample backbone to ensure the loft height does not equate to a mop like experience...
