I just got a sample of Crabtree & Evelyn sandalwood. Smells great but it seems very difficult to lather. Anyone else have this issue? Tried more water less water no water(haha). Can't seem to figure it out.
Thanks

Load it like you hate it! Don't be afraid to use more product. Biggrin
Do you face-lather or bowl-lather?
I bowl lather and I find what works for me (C&E Nomad) is starting with a really wet brush and loading the brush at an angle with the soap tipped towards the bowl to allow the excess water and proto lather to spill into the bowl.
Once the brush is loaded with a good amount, move to the bowl and work the lather there. It thickens and blooms nicely...for me.
Another option is to put some hot water onto the soap before you begin and let it sit there for a few minutes. This softens the soap and lets it load easier.

Loading more product is usually a good remedy for a soap/cream that you are having issues with lathering.
Best of luck.

The new C&E hard soaps don't lather… several threads, here and abroad.
They are "duds". Angry

It ended up a shower puck. Hate paying £22 pounds for it. Evaporates/dries as soon as it is put on my face no matter how much I use.

Tried a sample of the cream, much better

That's a shame that they couldn't stick with what works. I only tried it because I heard it had been good.

My Nomad must be the old formula because I have no problems lathering it.

My Nomad from the previous formulation also lathers beautifully.

Terrible luck with new formulation. The lather was terrible. The discontinued Almond Oil soap was always good through.

Yeah it's very unfortunate the new formula sucks, again. I really enjoy the Indian Sandalwood, especially in the soap version. I like the scent better in the soap than the cream. But the soap doesn't lather.
