Today to my delight I received my wooden bowl of the D.R. Harris Sandalwood soap. It has that lovely Sandalwood scent found in the aftershave and is stronger then in the shaving stick sample I received, even after lathered. It lathers as good as any soap that I have ever tried and provides great slickness and cushion for a soap. It is everything I had hoped for. Well done, D.R. Harris!!!!

Just received both the soap in the dark oak bowl and the cream in the yellow pot.
Own the almond, lavender, Windsor, Arlington and Marlborough soap already and own the Eucalyptus, Almond, Arlington and the Windsor creams - and they all perform very nice.
If I wasn't such a cream & soap snob, that have been spoiled by owning and using the best of the best products - I would have to say DR Harris soaps and creams are absolutely top performers, because they are THAT great.
Have yet to test my two new Sandalwood acquisitions - will try to use both of them next week.

Thanks for the input. I figured it matches their AS (as their others do), I was wondering how the overall DR Harris Sandalwood line compares to anything else, like AoS Sandalwood for example. I'll probably pick it up anyway on my next order from Phil, I was just trying to imagine if it's "familiar" or if it's somewhat of a unique Sandalwood scent as I've never smelled their AS version before.

If its modeled after their Sandalwood scent, then its definitely unique. It's hard to describe DR Harris Sandalwood A/S, but its very good smelling and quite unique. Its certainly unlike any other Sandalwood scents I have ever experienced. If you like Sweeter smelling aromas (almost candy like), then you would like DR Harris Sandalwood.

Excellent! That's exactly what I was looking for. Wasn't sure if it was a typical Sandalwood or if it was a profile unique to them. Thanks

Harris sandalwood soap (yet) but I do have their aftershave, and I have TOBS sandalwood soap, splash and edt. Comparing the edts, the D.R. Harris is deeper, richer and more long lasting. Both I would describe as woodsy, spicy, floral and sweet with a touch of anise.

It has an interesting sweet note, combined with star anise and a little bit of spice.

The soap smells exactly like the aftershave.
