Hey gents, just thought I'd let you know if you hadn't already seen it on Facebook. Greg has released the Shavecraft 102 head for a pretty good price. Even if you don't do Facebook you can find them on the iKon website.

I just ordered mine. I gotta say I was a little disappointed by the DLC Slant so I'm hoping this will work better for me! I've got high hopes for it.

I see, I have never set eyes on that forum! Maybe I should take a look there sometime. Nonetheless, a friendly reminder to those who don't frequent the "Vendor Forum" and have been waiting to get their hands on the 102.

The Vendor's Forum can be an expensive hang-out, but it allowed me to get the 102 slant at the introductory price. This will hopefully be a more enjoyable experience than the 101, original slant, OC deluxe and Standard razors that I have not been overwhelmingly impressed with.

Interesting. A slant razor that doesn't twist the blade. I wonder if it will be as effective as one that does twist the blade. BTW, out of curiosity, to those who got them early, what was the introductory price? They are $48.00, now, on the iKon site.

They were priced at $35. But I guess that price only lasted a few hours

Hoping for the same thing! I so very much wanted the iKon slant to be an amazing razor. Alas, it doesn't work with my face. However, I absolutely love the open comb.

I ordered the head earlier today. I can't wait. I've had my eyes on this for a long time.

How is it a slant if it doesn't twist the blade?

There are two different types of slants. One is something like the standard iKon slant, or the stealth, which torques and bends the blade. The other is called a "humpback" slant and it holds the blade at a different angle by the head being a different shape

Interesting I have never heard of that. Is there anywhere I can get more info? Sounds interesting.

look up the Mulcuto razor and just search humpbacks. You should find some good info

Had a shave today with the 102. I paired it with a Weber Bulldog handle and a Feather blade. It was easy to use despite the angles being somewhat intimidating. The shave was smooth, though not as smooth as the BBS-1 with the same Feather blade.

After two passes I only needed a bit of touchup. My beard was already pretty low after yesterday's great shave with Hallows/M6/BBS-1+Feather.

This is a well made and easy to use razor that gives an excellent shave. I would rate this higher than the Ej89, Gillette SS and Redtip, Parker 26C. I think it's even more efficient than the Weber.

I'm happy that I picked one up and it will go into rotation with the BBS-1 for sure.
