Tilted shave-

My first shave with the new Shavecraft 102 slant was very smooth. The razor itself is a really complex design and gives a great shave. Greg hits another one out of the park with this slant design! Smooth, efficient and comfy. These are things that I love in a razor. It is on the mild side like it's sibling, the 101, which is my go to razor. If you like the Shavecraft 101, you should love the 102.

The fit and finish are very good and blade loading and alignment are straight and simple. The top cap and base plate fit together one way only, which is clearly designated by a line on one side of each plates. Even if you're not paying attention they only fit together one way so you cannot install them wrong way. The blade exposure to me is about even with the iKon slant, but the gap is smaller. She is a smooth operator, and as I stated above, mild and effecient.

These are only my "initial impressions" and I look forward to many more shaves with this new offering from iKon Razors.

Nice write-up! If you've used the iKon Slant before how would you compare the two?

Thanks for the first impression. The Atlas handle looks amazing with the 102 head. (And nice brush... nice pics!)

Thank you, Celestino. Yes, it is in fact the ATT Atlas mounted to the 102.

Thanks! Yes, I have used both the iKon matte finish slant and DLC slant and the shaves are more mild from the 102, at least to me. They both shave comfortably though.

Thanks, thanks and thanks! The Atlas is a great handle on all razors in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I ordered it on a whim to take advantage of the temporary low price. The only other slant I used is the Merkur and it wasn't my favorite..
but I love my 101 so perhaps this one will change my mind Biggrin

Yes, thank you for the thoughts on this one and compare against the iKon regular slant. That's very creative on the top cap-base plate assembly, virtually error free loading! Glad you guys got in on that great pricing, I hesitated just for a bit and missed out. May need to bite the bullet anyway.

Great macro shot, really captures a nice handle/head assembly as I forget how nice the Atlas looks.

Thanks for the early take and great pictures for this intriguing new razor.

I'm a big fan of the merkur and razorock slants, can you compare the shave to those razors?

I really like the shave the shavecraft 101 provides, especially the safety bar side, so I'm tempted to pick this up if it shaves similarly.

received mine today -- thanks for posting pics --- can you post a pic of the other side of your #102? Mine has the "vertical line" side for alignment and on the opposite side of mine it has a small black dot....does yours have this?

The placement is very centered on that side of the baseplate to me. Like it was for a purpose during or after manufacturing
