I have a beautiful Rooney Finest 3/3 that I would like to trade. It is a marvelously large brush. The trouble is it's just too large for me. The brush has had a life of ease and has been well cared for. I am interested in trading it for one of the following brushes. Please no offers to buy or offers to trade if the items offered are not the brushes specified.
Knot dimensions: Diameter:26-27mm, Loft:62-63mm
1. Rooney Finest style 1 size 2 or size 3.
2. Simpson's Somerset Chubby 2 Manchurian.
3. Morris & Forndran 2XL or 3XL with Rooney Finest hair. This was a very limited group of brushes that Classic Shaving released a while back and is not Lee's current Finest hair offering.
Here are a few pictures of this spectacular brush, enjoy. Thanks.

I use a Rooney Finest 3/3 like this on a regular basis and love it. I'm not a giant brush guy, and I find it perfectly manageable. It's great for using up product, too. GLWTS

I think the thing I find too big about it is the handle (lengthwise). I'm not a bowl latherer and this brush is without question better suited to bowl lathering. It feels a bit clumsy face lathering with it. But you're right is uses up product right and left!

And I agree with you on the handle. I have toyed with the idea of moving the magnificent knot to a different handle. But it sure is attractive in that style 3 handle.

3/2 probably has the more balanced handle, at least for a bowl latherer like me.

Have had the same thought. But thought the shaving gods would strike me down for tampering with a Rooney Finest!

Hate to be off topic but the Rooney 3 series is probably the only Rooney brush I haven't tried yet. Well it's been on my radar for a while, and let's just say I have one on the way. It's the size 1 though, 22mm, so hopefully it will be a good one for me!

Congratulations! Is it a finest? If you enjoy bowl lathering I think the style 3 should be right up your alley. Enjoy it!

I have a 3/2, and I don't find it at all undesirable for face lathering. The finest in my 3/2 is scritchier than the finest in my 1/2.
