I know that most of us have seen the pics on this site of this brush. I just picked it up from Mark and I just had to show off a few pics. I don't think that my pics or Marks do this brush justice.
Here it is: Manchurian Chubby 2 in Cocobolo Hardwood!

I have only used this once. So far my impressions are very positive! I really like the ergonomics of this handle. The knot is very nice, I can't wait to see what it ends up being like.
Thank you for looking
Opps forgot a lather shot.

That's a real beauty Jim, that's outstanding what Mark has done with the CH design. I love that small taper at the waist to give it a visually longer look and yet it appears to be the same height and diameter near the top!
The wood is so rich and textured looking, its truly something to appreciate. Congratulations on this add to the collection! May it get better and better and be a fixture in your nook for many years.. simply a beautiful modern day Simpson take on their classic handle. Aside from the material which is a stunner, the shape is unique even against the current lineup!

thank you for sharing!

Is there any difference in the knot dimensions vs the normal resin handle? I know based on the M7 having made it to the website on paper its smaller than the normal one by ~1mm or so, but in person it could be bigger than what's stated.

I don't blame you, I don't think very many were made so your holding onto a true unique! May it provide lathering nirvana!

I did a measurement with a ruler. ( I don't have a calliper at home) The website puts CH2 at 27/50 and most of my Chubbies end up in the 28/50 range. This brush ends up at about 27/51, very close with a large margin for error with my measuring.

Shoot thank you for reminding me I will post a later shot soon.

I used a ruler and I measured it at 27/51. (I know not the most accurate)

Thank you, Its starting to break in very nicely!

In answer to your question, there are three ways.
1. Simpsons website http://www.simpsonshavingbrushes.com/shop/5/index.htm
2. Follow @AESimpson1919 on Twitter. Mark has started posting LE brushes there. You have to be on your toes for this one.Wink
3. Email him direct at: enquiries@progress-vulfix.com

Mark is great to deal with and will point you in the right direction with what he has on hand.

Beautiful brush Jim. Do you know if Simpson is putting any type of finish on its wood brushes, and if so, what it is?
