My experience with Vie Long 2-band is that it is quite similar to Plisson HMW 2-band. Nice looking brush!

It's ironic that you should post this Andrew. It was because of your TSN thread (http://shavenook.com/thread-sold-vie-lon...and-badger) that I purchased my first Vie Long from Teiste, his Foroafeitado LE. It's a great brush IMO and if I didn't have that one I would be keeping the olive wood Vie Long for sale. It's certainly a unique feeling badger and I'll always have one in my rotation.

Teiste loaned me his Foroafeitado LE and an olive wood brush like yours. I thoroughly enjoyed using both. I think they are a fantastic value in 2-band.

The Vie Long hair is different than any brush I own. When dry it is very soft and feels like it could be floppy. When wet, the hair seems to stiffen so that it's not floppy at all. I feel it has moderate backbone (less than a Simpson Chubby or M&F 2XL but more than some Thaters I've owned). It provide great flow through and some scrub. I don't feel it's too soft. I've had my share of brushes that fit that category. If you get a chance read through Andrew's thread that I linked to. He provides great insight there.

I'd agree with this assessment. I have the same brush. I'll add that it feels quite large on the face, due to the higher loft. I like the hair so much that I think that I'll pick up the butterscotch handle with the shorter (50mm) loft. Good luck with the sale.

Don't want to make this agonizing. I know an easy solution . . . Biggrin

Thanks, I agree. I have a similar one, a Vie Long foroafeitado 2012. Both great brushes I just prefer the handle on that one more.
