Like many others, it all started with an online search for an alternative to paying a ridiculous price for cartridges that irritated my face.

I started with a modern DE razor, developed an interest in vintage Gillettes, and then discovered single edge razors.

Now, I can only shake my head in amazement. In a few months time I have accumulated around 60 razors, numerous brushes, soaps/creams, aftershaves, etc., and become an active participant in forums like this one.

I used to regard shaving as a chore to be completed as quickly as possible; now it has become a highlight of my mornings.

My wife thinks that I have lost my mind, although she likes my new smoother face, and the fact that I'm suddenly willing to go antiquing with her.

I see that The Shave Nook has a Single Edge form, and I'm looking forward to participating.

Welcome in Bob.

I often say that "If I get a good shave in the morning, it makes the rest of the day go well."

Probably not entirely true, but more true than not.

Welcome to the fun!

Hello from Portlandia. Welcome. My guess is that the wives of guys on here who think their husband has not lost his mind aren't a very large percentage.

My wife doesn't think having shaving as a hobby is nuts. Lucky me... Marrying a soap maker and all. She thinks I'm nuts for reasons entirely unrelated to shaving... So I guess I'm in the majority after all.

Bob - welcome to TSN!
