Hi folks - welcome to my workshop...

My name is Doug Korn, a.k.a. 55dougie. I have been an avid woodworker for most of my life. My workshop interests are varied and range from; tying custom fly fishing flies, to fine woodcarving and woodturning.

As a wet shaver for many years, I came to collect shaving brushes. A few years ago I started restoring old shaving brushes and lately I have begun making shaving razor and brush handles of both wood and my own hand cast resins. Take a look at some of the work I have done recently. I enjoy “special requests" and like the challenge of making fine one-of-a-kind custom handles for your shaving needs.  If a handle model below catches your eye or you have a custom request in mind for a handle please send me a PM or an e-mail and we can work together to make it a reality.  Estimates upon request.

Also, from time to time I will post items for sale here in the Artisan Corner.

All my handles are made by hand one at a time. I welcome your comments, questions and future business. All the best, Doug.

Here are some examples of my work:

I love these acrylic handles as travel razor handles. Never even considered that. Will definitely be looking into this for one of my Tech Heads.

Beautiful work Doug and good luck.

Doug, you do a fine job of work. Took a long time in the shop to do that level of workmanship.
