Searching through some of the older threads I saw this artisans name come up a few times. Just checked his website and I am impressed. He has some gorgeous customs. I remember reading a post here about his customs. the 7/8th currently on sale is amazing.

I have two Brian Brown customs..Both are still displayed on his website and both are, without question, in my top five favorite razors.

I've worked with Brian on other projects as well (he rescaled a Friodur for me) and he is a joy to work with.

Both of my 8/8's require nothing special. One has an etched blade with pre-ban ivory scales and there is nothing additional needed to keep them (and me) happy.

Take and hold a wonderful edge!!

As Mike mentioned, these razors don't need any special care. They do call out to be admired, though.

Brian does great work, and I can second the comments on how pleasant it is to work with him. Buy with confidence. Smile

Ha! That's awesome.

The first razor that comes up in his gallery is one of mine.. the second is further down in the slideshow.

Brian, what's the story with the frameback? That's stunning..

That's 'No.81', as Brian refers to it. The cutting edge is shorter than most straights and I simply love it. It makes the 8/8 so easy to maneuver. Also, the tang is rounded, not flat and squared off and this makes stropping a joy.

Brian not only does amazing work, but he's a top notch gentleman and a joy to work with.

I regret not ordering a custom years ago when his pricing was dirt cheap for a custom. A brian brown in damascus still on my grail list
