the site will be down for a few minutes starting around 3am EDT on 5/28/12 so I can install a patch that was recently released for the forum software we use. during this time, you will be unable to do anything on the site.

Any chance there will be a tapatalk or forum runner plugin installed in the future?

There's really no need for it. After viewing a few forums on tapatalk. I think I like the way this forum shows up on my iPad and iPod Touch. It's very clean and neat

usually only takes 5-10 minutes for a minor patch.

we already have a free mobile theme installed on the forum that is automatically used when you're browsing the site on a mobile phone, so no, we won't be installing tapatalk or forum runner.

It wouldn't effect anything visually, it'd just give anyone who uses those apps a different method of browsing. I do enjoy tapatalk, but 90% of the forums I visit do not use it. I don't see any downside to enabling it.

Ok Andrew, it was just an idea. Thank you for responding. One question though. Why do most forum administrators not want to install the plugin? It's free, and as far as I know does no harm.

it's more management to use a 3rd party app when it's not necessary because there's a mobile theme that was built specifically for the forum software we use.

Am I the only one who doesn't like a mobile app for our site. When I'm on my iPad the mobile version comes up automatically and I have to go to the bottom of the screen and reset it to normal view. It's really not a biggie but is there a way to keep it on the normal view all the time so that when I log onto the site it will be the Luxure version that comes up? As I say, not the end of the world by any means but just a bit more convenient.
