I used a Personna Med blade today and though it looked exactly like a regular one with the additional wording, it was incredibly smooth. Is it me or are these a higher quality blade? It's 11:30am and my face is still super smooth.
Does anyone else have experience with these?

It's my opinion that the Med Preps are indeed a notch above the other Personna blades.. More specifically the Isreali Reds.

These two blades are the only blades I use these days.. Granted, I don't use DE's much anymore.

For years there has been a discussion as to whether the Meds are the same blade as the Lab Blues, which cost less and don't have "for hospital use"' printed on them. Try the Lab Blues and see if there is a difference for you.

Where do you get these? I was fortunate to get a few from a fellow member buy I'm on the last one. Sad

I have ones in a blue wrapper and have no idea if they are Meds, Preps, or anything. They don't have anything about Hospital or Medical on them. I don't know exactly what they are, but I like them a lot.

They are these:

I tried the blue labs awhile back and thought that they were good. I couldn't discern any difference between them and the Med Preps which are excellent. Then I bought 100 from the b/s/t a year or so ago and the 100 that I bought were absolute garbage that I can't do anything with. Who knows what I got? I knew immediately that they weren't the blue labs I had tested though.

I suppose it's buyer beware. For me it's not worth the gamble on buying the labs anymore.

Those are the Lab Blues and are available from a number of vendors, including Bullgoose.

The Personna Medical Lab blades are marked 'for hospital use'. Here is a pic of what the blades looks like:

Unfortunately, I have never enjoyed either of these blades.

The Meds are definitely a + for me vs the Labs

I love the Med Preps--probably my favorite blade.
A huge bonus is the fact that there is no wax on the blade.

I find the Meds a notch above the other personna blades.
