I am interested in trying Durham Duplex (not the head just the handle). Does the handle fit most all Gillettes, etc? I have seen a few pop up on the bay, but wanted to check first about the handle.

Those handles are nice and have fit anything I've thrown 'em on.
Good bit of heft to 'em for their size,I went on a binge a while ago and got a few of them to use here and there.PM me some info and I'll PIF one to ya.

Here you are Sir Celestino....

Handles Left To Right With Gillette Old Heads:
iKon Bulldog,Durham Duplex,Gillette Ball End

Durham Duplex (New Jersey USA) is (was) somehow linked to Wade Butcher (Sheffield England)

IMHO the Durham Duplex is superior to the Gillette Ball End handle, they're not tubular...solid all the way through, heavier and slightly larger diameter and doesn't develop cracks. The fluted end's a nice place to rest a finger on.A real hellraiser screwed onto a Gillette Old Cool

The Durham Duplex is very comfortable handle. I've got two in my handle inventory.
Along with an Ikon Bulldog, a Tradere, a BRW, a Weber, and the "Jackson."

I have just one, it's one of my favorite handles, just wish they weren't chrome plated!

I purchase one to put on a gillette long comb. Works great, only wish they were a quarter inch longer, but I won't complain for the price.

I prefer shorter handles, 2 3/4 to 3 inches is great for me. Two fingers and a thumb, any handle sticking out just slows things down. I like the Piccolo handle too.
