Just picked up some vintage Colgate barber soap. How long do you soak it to rehydrate? Thanks for the help.

Great question, Mike! I would also be interested in knowing even though I would, most likely, never use an vintage soap. Biggrin

That depends a little of the condition of the soap, but... Leave it for a night, before you go to sleep... when you wake up, if everything goes well, drain the excess water and it will be ready to shave.

I used that method with this soap and it worked beautifully...

It is in good shape. A little browning on the side. I want to see how the oldies perform.

Nice! I heard the cup soap is very good! Mine looks brand new aside from a few brown spots. The seller said she soaked gets, she had a whole sleeve of them, for 25 hrs. That seemed long to me
