I've always loved briar wood and when I saw Joe from Italian Barber offering the Marfin brushes with beautiful Italian briar, it was love at first sight. My father has smoked a pipe since I can remember, and the majority of his pipes were briar. The wood grain on them is spectacular! When I noticed Gustavo offering his brushes in briar, I HAD to have one. Fast forward a few months and here we are!

This Manchurian knot felt great on a few palm lathers, but we'll see how it performs this evening! I'm very happy with this brush and I look forward to having it in my den for a long time!
