This razor was in awful shape when I got it. Deep water stains and rust. There was no way to take it all out, so I got out what I could and gave the blade a brushed/satin finish. It got streaked horn scales, which my phone camera didn't pick up at all, and a ivory wedge.

Definitely worth the trouble to save it. Age spots don't affect shave quality.

Agreed.. I like to see a razor back in business, with some history proudly displayed.

Sweet razor! And the jeweler's anvil is looking pretty cool too - much more unique than the one I've got on hand.

If you were ever ditching either, I'd scoop 'em up in a heartbeat.
