Mike, have you tried it?

And it's called "Beaudelaire." Smile You can get it from Maggard (in a couple of days when we restock them), Old Town Shaving, and Merchant & Rhoades in Chicago. Or MenEssentials, if someone's in Canada and wants to try it out. Biggrin

I have the Beaudelaire and I thought there was a similarity between the two. I don't have the best sniffer and I'm not so great about picking up subtleties in scents

It's not hollows but I thought they shared an earthy quality. Will please tell me if I'm way off here. I wouldn't want bear trap to pick it up if they are nothing alike.

Actually, the soap is called "Hallows." Biggrin And no, they're COMPLETELY different, at least to my nose. I find little to no similarity between them at all, which doesn't surprise me as they have no ingredients at all in common.

Everyone has different experiences and associations. I would say that Hallows and Beaudelaire are both earthy soaps (Hallows FAR more so), but they're not earthy in the same way. Beaudelaire is a much closer cousin of Lavanille than it is of Hallows because it contains a relatively large proportion of Mousse de Saxe. Smile

Haha. Warning to all, don't trust my nose. At least I was right in that they are both earthy.

I was just browsing and saw this thread. If you don't have any luck with the trade, I'd be happy to PIF a small sample to you. It is definitely an interesting beast.
