Well I finally got in some Martin De Candre soap and a couple of tubs from Mystic Water....It has been a few years since I have tried the MDC soap and I figured I would give it a whirl and just as I remembered.....Very easy to get a nice thick smooth lather and a lavender smell. I can see why so many people like this soap! To me the Mystic Water soaps take a good bit of work to get a good lather....and most of the ones I have tried have a nice smell. I can easily see the MDC becoming my number one soap....I know the upfront cost is hight, but it does last for some time from what I have been told. Well it looks like Catie's bubbles has lost it's number one spot for me......

MDC is fantastic, I'm sure eventually you'll want the Fougere version as well. Wink

+1. If you like the scent of the original, you'll love the Fougère Biggrin

MW does take more work, but the reward is excellent performance during the shave and a phenomenonal post-shave feel. FWIW Jeff's Lavender is my favorite Lavender scent.

I have the Mystic Waters lilac and love it. I've got some MdC on it's way and I hope it lives up to the hype. Speaking personally, I have no problem getting MW or Stirling, or any of the tallow soaps to lather marvelously.
After all, love it or hate it, Arko sticks are tallow soaps and legendary for their lather-ability.
