Encre Noir (a sample).

Have to say the perfumer who made this knew her stuff - absolutely nailed the smell of black fountain pen ink, and not in a bad way by any means...

Brilliant stuff, but not quite what I was looking for - so tomorrow it'll back to Jicky (which I find absolutely amazing), or another sampling of Penhaligon's Endymion.

Claus, how do you find Caron by itself? I loved it out of the bottle, now I bought one and can't get past the opening, there's something in it that makes me think Clubman, which I hate with passion. It gets pleasant after an hour or so, but that hour is an agony.

It's nice, a bit feminine, but nice. Use it once in a while before going to bed.
Prefer to use Caron PUH in mix with other frags.

The opening is quite dusty smelling lavender to my nose, then the musk kicks in....and the vanilla.

But with over 400 full bottle fragrances in my collection, I use the same fragrance maybe 3-4 times a year.....

I think you're the right person to start a thread comparing scents, i.e. if you like Caron you'd like Blahbla, etc. Biggrin

Rocking Amouage Interlude Man today.
Great strong stuff, ideal for winter Cool

Not a signature scent, but what an awesome fragrance Interlude Man is, worth every penny it cost you.

Tomorrow I'm rocking Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver, my newest fragrance puchase.......bought it Friday Smile

Went with Tom Ford Oud Wood today because it is her favorite scent I have so far. I do love the Oud Wood but it's longevity is lacking unfortunately. I am going to try a new purchase on her tomorrow, Creed Aventus. We might have a new winner I am thinking.

Floris - Leather OUD
Nothing even remotely similar to concentrated OUD oil or leather for that matter, though it does play well with the Santal ASB. I like it...for now.
