Thanks to Gentleman Nook member Grant, I will soon hold the new Vie Long Lord Randal in extra stuffed SilverTip in faux horn in my hands.

I love my Vie Longs, 2-band as well as 3-bands, extra stuffed, what can I look forward to with this brush ?

I posted some thoughts here when I received my original Lord Randal a few months ago. Hope that helps, and I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks guys, and NO! I'm not about to stop enjoying my brushes at all.

At one stage last year I thought for a moment the synthetics would take over, but that was just a brief fickle thought that came into my head.

I have now sold all my synthetics, except one, which I keep in my travel toilet bag inside a muhle plastic travel case - the one I kept is the Edwin Jagger XL STF v2 25 mm FauxHorn.

I still have 35 badger brushes left in my den, and only very good bids on these would make me sell them. The 35 badgers I now have left are all 9/10 or 10/10 on my personal face-lather ranking rating list :-)

I have a feeling this Lord Randall Vie Long will join my other Vie Long brushes as solid 9/10 performers, easily competing with the Duke 3's i used to have in my den (in all 3 versions available and of interest to me)

+1. I'd be interested to hear how others find it.

Will let you know, but not before I have used the brush 6-8 times can I give an honest and serious opinion on how the brush really performs.

With still 35 badgers in my den of which I have yet to use 12-14 of them, this might take some time, since I only shave 3-4 times a week (I only work at the office during weekends, and work at home the rest of the week, and like to grow a couple of days of stubble - believe it or not Smile

But will get back with some feedback.....at one stage in 2015 Tongue

I just revisited my Lord Randal Silvertip for tonight's shave...it really is a fantastic brush that is so well balanced. I remember detecting some very minor scritch (not the bad kind) in the early days of mine, and I detected zero during tonight's shave. As I am noticing with most of my brushes, the characteristics of the knot did change from those first uses...for the better.

It might take you a while to get back to us Claus, but we'll still be interested Biggrin
