Since i solved my Simpson brush problem now i am having a custom brush made with 26mm shavemac knot. Why well so many people talk about this knot being amazing or really bad. Im told the new Silvertip 2band is like the do1 2band but softer and little less backbone. Can anyone chime in on silvertip 2band vs do1 2band or other knots. I want super soft and some good backbone.

I have a Shavemac Beehive fitted with a bulb-shaped finest badger knot whic I love. I also have a410 with a Silvertip knot, which I like very much as well. The finest badger in my opinion is nicer than the Silvertip in that it's soft but with ample backbone. This combined with its price make the finest badger great value.

Have you thought about a Rooney 2-band? It is the best combination of soft tips and backbone that I have ever experienced.
