I finally bought a replacement ink convertor for my Waterman penBlush My experiment with stamp pad ink definitely blew out the seal as I discovered in my final, futile, frugal attempt to refill it.
I went on EvilBAY and picked one up relatively cheap from
http://www.goldspotpens.com
They included a nice old fashioned paper catalog........
And now, I cannot live without J. Herbin SCENTED ink; rose, lavender, apple and orange.
I can match up my lavender and rose soaps and scents.Aaaaa

Enjoy, Chris! Smile

The trouble with J. Herbin's scented inks is that the scents completely dissipate as soon as the written word hits paper. In a way, that sort of defeats the purpose of scented ink. Sad

I took a closer look at the price- $15 for 30MLEeeeek
I can buy two Watermans @ $18 for 100ML.they do have some lovely colours I may still try later. My girlfriends will have to settle for cologne soaked stationary.

I have two DeArtrementis scented inks: Green Apple and Fir.
Both smell wonderful. But only in the bottle. Or if I hold the nib to my nose.
in actual use it is so faint as to barely be noticable.
The green apple color is perfect color and the scent delicious. I was most diassapointed when I put pen to paper.

My simple remedy..... I keep my best writing papers and envelopes in a tin with packets of lavender flower buds. I tried the scented inks too and ended sad. The scents disappear faster than my chocolate fund! It takes a few weeks for the paper to pick up the scent but the wait is worth it.

Good idea Pam.

Though I bought the scented inks for my own enjoyment as I penned letters. But it provides none as the scent is so faint.
