If you remember the rock group Queen, then you know Brian May was its lead guitarist. As I recently learned, he's much more:

"Brian May, CBE, PhD, FRAS is a founding member of Queen, a world-renowned guitarist, songwriter, producer and performer, also a Doctor of Astrophysics, 3D stereoscopic photographic authority and a passionate advocate and campaigner for animal rights."

Ironic that he played guitar for a guy named Mercury.

Thanks for the info, Ron.
He always had such a sweet-sounding guitar! It must have been his studies of astrophysics that helped! Biggrin

I just heart Killer Queen while shopping and am still in awe of his original and amazing tone. Blew me away when I first saw/heard him in Junior High...

You can't stereotype (no pun) people. This gorgeous actress invented the electronic guidance system called frequency hopping during WWII to defeat German torpedoes, and which later helped make cell phones and wireless technology possible:

Ah, the always gorgeous Heddy Lamarr. Yes, she was brilliant, as I now learn Brian May is.

There are a lot of people who are multi-talented ---- sometimes surprisingly so. We sometimes tend to disregard the mental capabilities of sportspeople and show-people. It's nice to be reminded sometimes that some of them have multi-faceted talents.
