I have just tried Dr. Jon's soaps via a passaround. They are relatively new to the market. I have tried most of their offerings and I loved Hydra. It's citrusy and lathers incredibly. I got a great shave all around. Very attractive labeling, too. Anyone else tried it?

Hadn't even heard of it until now. Great to hear you are enjoying it.

I shaved with it this morning. I tried Anne Bonny, HEX and the classic scent.

The story here is blade protection and aftercare. Think Mikes with better post shave.

These are easy-going good scents.

Anne Bonny is my favorite of the three and I really like this bay rum. A lot of other soaps are hitting heavy with the single note bay EO, but I totally got the tea and rum. Well done.

I like that they are not sweet or oddly scented. HEX immediately reminded me of a less smooth castle forbes sandalwood.

The shave. There is something special here. Lots of silky lather. Lots of glide. If I had to summarize I would say it is a improved more protective Institute Karite. The Shea aftercare is obvious. I tried samples of StroppeShop and Maggards last week and - I got a more comfortable shave from DrJon.

Recommended. I like them enough to order the remaining scents.
