Picked this up at a local antiques store.
B. Worth and Sons, Sheffield, England.
Not in too bad a shape.

Buffed out well. Used Mother's only, by hand. No sandpaper.

Still a bit of patina on the blade. Not bothering me. I could sand it down and go through the progression of grits. I could probably get rid of it that way, but I am not sure how much of the markings would survive that process. They are actually not that deep.
The scales polished up halfway decent, but I think that I will make some different ones for it.
Thanks for looking.

Blade cleaned up really nice Mike.

I dunno, in the pics the bone scales look like they buffed up quite well - and, IMHO, have a really nice ivory patina. Just curious why you're leaning toward replacing them... the bone just not 'speaking' to you?

John, thank you!
I assumed they were plastic. A hot pin proved otherwise. They are indeed bone, and will be going back on this blade.

My pleasure Mike - glad to be of help to a fellow Nooker.

BTW - considering how thoroughly the antique shops in our neck of the woods tend to be combed, that truly was a stellar find!

Thanks, guys!
John, I have a local shopkeeper that looks for vintage razors for me. I stop in every week to see if he has anything.

Got her pinned and honed. She's ready for a debut shave this evening.

Great shave with her last night. Wonderful balance, and I find I like shaving with a bit of a smiling edge.
