I read an article today that said they have something like 1145 websites, all routed through China.

I should have posted this thread as a stand-alone comment in one of the movie-related sections, since the article is a follow-on to what I'd already posted there. Had I done so, I could have made mention of how this "response" reminds me of The Day The Earth Stood Still. No political commentary or anything else intended, just life imitating art.

I think that is ISP addresses.

This reminds me of the server error Web page where I work (i.e., my "real" job). They actually shot a picture of one of the lead developers pulling a component out of a server rack. I think they should add a thought bubble to the image that says something like "Oops... I guess that was important after all."
