Received this nice Schick E and this beautiful Semogue 2010 LE Custom Boar from Celestino. The poor picture does not do justice for the brush.

Thank you Celestino.

I believe this 2010 LE Custom Boar is basically a Semogue 820 that used blue epoxy and was engraved on the bottom. It sure make a nice lather and feels good on the face.

Edit: I've been informed by Emanuel that the epoxy is not blue. Depending on which plexi handled brush Semogue is making, they use either black, red, brown, blue, or white ink.

So is the custom boar the predecessor to the 820?

It was a pleasure, my friend. Enjoy!
The 2010 LE boar brush that Johnny has has the Premium Bristles as opposed to the Best 90% tops that the 820 has. Other than that, i see them as basically the same, in my opinion.

They're here! Simpsons Duke 2 and Muhle Kosmo Horn Silvertip Fibre!

Here's a few shots for you gentlemen. Freshly out of the box, mix with a little lather, and post lather bloom (for the Duke). I must say, the Silvertip Fibre was extremely impressive at it's ability to work up a very easy lather, it was as though it was on autopilot, it just does all the work for you.

It will be a hard decision to choose between the two to shave with today...

Looks great Anthony! I've been very impressed with my Black Fibre and can't wait to get my order placed for the Silvertip Fibre. Just need a little more time deciding on which extra item to throw in my cart to get the free shipping from Phil!

At a local shop, I spotted this cologne at an affordable price: Agua de Pravia 1905.
I thought it would have a hay/fern scent like the soap Heno de Pravia (which I love). After all, it is kind of a Spanish 4711, but a little more "rounded" and sweet, very nice and fresh for the Summer. As it was very affordable, it ended up inside the bag. Biggrin

At one of those ebay actions from Connaught Shaving, I bid for a certain boar brush: an Omega 73645 "Premium Grade Pure Bristle". Obviously, I lost. Confused

For my surprise, the next day, the brush was offered to me via ebay, as a "Second chance offer", for the value that I had bid before!!! Aaaaa

To top it all, the brush was sent from UK at Wednesday, May 30th. Friday, June 1st, I had the postcard at my door to pick up the order at the post office. Only 2 days from UK to Portugal!! KUDOS to Paul Mayhew for his excellent service!! ThumbupBowClap

Now the brush, Omega #45: it features a "Premium Grade" boar knot and a heavy, sturdy handle, capable of putting to shame some handles that I have made by Simpson or Rooney. The brush is heavy, it weights 93g, more than any other brush that I own, with one exception (a metal handled no-name brush). Love

The presentation box is simply luxurious, and rivals with that of my Vie-Long 2-band.

I think I'm gonna like this one! Biggrin If not, well, I can always re-knot it with a 24mm TGN Finest (and what a stunning brush it would make...) Hmm

Emanuel's picture sure does the brush more justice than the picture the guy posted on eBay.
