Received this beautiful brand new Muhle R101 (2010) from Dragos (VerbaVolant) in this mornings mail. I am really looking forward to giving this a try tomorrow morning.

Another fine Canadian to do business with.

Here's a few shots for you gentlemen. Freshly out of the box, mix with a little lather, and post lather bloom (for the Duke). I must say, the Silvertip Fibre was extremely impressive at it's ability to work up a very easy lather, it was as though it was on autopilot, it just does all the work for you.

It will be a hard decision to choose between the two to shave with today...

Tough decision. I say use them both at the same time. They are really beautiful. Use them well.

Well, it was some old drugstore in a no-name street... Biggrin
Now seriously, spare the trip to your cousin... unfortunately that was all that they had, I bought the whole lot! Biggrin

I opened up the package of the Filarmonica 13: it is immaculate, just like it came out from the factory :yho:

Happy Wednesday From Florida!

Anyone who knows me from other boards can attest to the fact that we have all manner of shave supplies stocked up for the next 20 years.

What I did not have, until now, was a massive supply of Brut bath soap.

20 bars O' Brut! Schweet!

A knock at the door this morning the postman had a package for me.
I have eagerly been awaiting the arrival of my newest member of my Nook, a Semogue Owners Club with a cherry wood handle.

Thanks to Vintage Scents for great customer service.

Wondering if it is time to retire or trade King Parker Badger.

Great looking products for additions to your Nooks.

I'm swinging by home on the weekend, just in time to get a box from Turkey at the post office.

Lots of fun stuff here. First out, the bowl that Obie referred to as a fairly tale shave bowl. It's quite nice, even more so when the price is taken into consideration:

I made sure to pick up a Arko shaving cream - I haven't tried it before, and this one is mentholated... I like menthol Biggrin

Then it's the great unknown: one of the cheapest razors I've come across so far. I opted for the boxed version, which brought up the price by 50% - and it was still under 3 USD! Almost scared to try it... but also oh so tempted. Gents, let me present the YUMA! Notice the hollow handle, the paper-thin head and the "who knows what fell into the pot" zinc alloy;

Next up a quality razor from Egypt - or at least more expensive than the yuma. Still cheap and hopefully cheerful, the Racer Razor - which I seriously am considering as part of a starter kit I'm planning to put together:

And last, but not least, the neck duster I told my Better Half was the reason for the whole order - so she can get all the little crumbs off my neck and shoulders when she buzzes my head.

It's like having an impromptu little Christmas Biggrin

Yes, straight from Turkey Smile It's even nicer in person - the walls are a little thin, but it's pretty solid. Looking forward to seeing how it is for building lather in Biggrin

I received these in the mail today from Simpsons. Ordered June 1, received June 9. Not bad delivery time from the UK.

I will use them tomorrow and let you know what I think.

Today I went to a flea market in Lisbon...

...ooooh, that little box seems very interesting...

...and inside...

W00tW00tW00tW00tW00tW00tW00tW00t

It seems to be one of the many variations of the Gillette British Aristocrat #16 (1948-1952). The weigh (82g) seems to confirm this. How lovely she is! Heart

The box is nice outside, but a disgrace inside, full of rust. But the razor came out really nice after some cleaning. For only €4, I think I did quite good! Cool
