Is it worth it taking a chance on 100 of these blades? I have read they're just below a feather and a friend told me they work really well and they're quite smooth.

What I do know is that I found the BiC Chrome Platinum okayish for the first shave, horrible on the second go. They are firmly off my list - YMMV off course.

I wouldn't take a chance on 100. I found them to be a middle of the road blade on the first shave.

Must be YMMV at work. I get great results from bic, better than several other brands and the price is reasonable.

I have no negative memories of them. In fact I know I have them in my box of razor blades to use when I want a change of pace. I wouldn't put junk blades in that box. Those go into my wifes leg shaving box of blades. :-)

Not as cruel as it sounds, she's pretty much immune to blades for leg shaving. You can't possibly imagine.

Edit: What a dunce I can be! "razors" where I intended "blades".

I never cared for bic blades. I think there are two variations. One comes in a orange box the other is red.
I've only tried the orange box and simply couldn't get a nice shave from them.

This is the way to go. If it turns out that this is the blade for you, you can still make the bulk purchase. If they're not, then you're only out a few dollars. 100 blades that you don't like is an awful lot of blades.

Every once in a while, I'll order a handpicked blade sampler pack of various blades that I haven't tried before.

I've been reading about Timor blades. How are they? Connaught is the only place I can find them in bulk

I have had 4 shaves on a Bic and it's been added to my rotation. They are definitely as good as Yellows and Astras in my book. I'm not sure that I'll see the longevity I see from Med Preps though.

Interesting Dave!
I think that these are the blades that I've read the most polar opposite reviews on over the last several months. Some mention one and out, others mention similar to you, others that they are wicked sharp like Feather's but not smooth at all, etc.

I'm glad that you found another one to add to the rotation!

I think 5 shaves is about enough on one. It drug a bit this morning when I shaved so I tossed it. The first razor I ever shaved with as a teen was a Bic Disposable. I'm glad to say these blades are far better than those
