Good luck with the soaps, Ron and I much prefer the ones sans coconut oil! Biggrin

Thanks, Celestino. The Mystic Waters samples arrived today so I couldn't wait to lather up with one. I picked the unscented and proceeded to screw up by using too much water, so the lather wasn't the greatest and didn't last much into the second pass, but that's an easy enough fix for next time. I was more concerned about the shea butter and some other ingredients, but I had no bad reaction, and along with the lack of coconut oil, the aftershave effects were/are very nice.

Very nice brushes, David! How do you like the taller loft?

Thank you, David.

Prior to owning the Muhle and EJ synthetics, I would never have dreamed going for a loft higher than 52/53. Whilst there is an inevitable slight loss in backbone, what it does create is a brush of superb flow, yet with still more than adequate "Manchurian" feel.
Furthermore, despite its size(bigger than my previously owned CH3 Manchurian), it strangely behaves in a very manageable and comfortable way. Overall, a wonderfully balanced and useable brush.

It's funny you should mention the Simpson CH3 Manchurian. I have yet to receive my Artesania Romera 30mm brush, but my CH3 Manchurian is my densest knot, even more so then my Rooney 3XL. Also, the loft on my CH3 is around 56-57mm, if my memory serves me correctly.

Needless to say, I'm quite curious to see how my Artesania Romera 30mm turns out (it's not the horn LE).

Thank you, Mustafa.

As you can see, the brush is definitely a 1/3 as I was expecting, but looks ebony to me, not horn as Lee advised available. Just emailed Lee to confirm.
