From my limited use of a mongoose I can't even imagine someone who is in the market for a cobra would want a mongoose, or vice versa. They seem to be on very opposite ends of the spectrum as far as shave aggressiveness goes. Not two razors that are very comparable IMO, and that's weird for me to say considering they share the same blade. I wish someone would have made this clear when the batch 1's came out, everyone had compared them to the Cobra so I had expected a similar shaving razor. Not my experience.

I wouldn't say opposite. I find the Mongoose to be slightly less efficient than the Cobra when using the Feather Professional blade. I don't find the Cobra to be aggressive at all, and this is something I am very sensitive to. Both razors share a spot in my den. When I have multiple days growth - Cobra. When I have a lighter beard - Mongoose. Both razors work well for me.

Hahaha! Probably because everyone woke up to see a Cobra Classic on the BST and he now has to sift through all the PM's!

I've got a replacement mongoose head on the way, hopefully what was wrong with my first one affected the shave and I'll have a similar experience as you when it arrives. Anyways, don't want to de-rail the thread.
