I thought I'd pass along something I recently discovered regarding the Feather Super Blades (FSB). When I received my Mongoose razor a few months ago, I realized that that the Feather Pro and Titan blades just weren't "cutting" it for me in that razor because I couldn't get a close shave. As a last effort to keep the Mongoose, I tried the FSB and it turned the razor into a fine cutting machine and now I'm very happy with the razor.

I also have the Cobra Classic and King Cobra (with UFO handle) razors and have always used the Feather Pros and Titan blades and have been very happy with the aggressive shaves I get. Yesterday, I was preparing to shave with the King Cobra and on a whim decided to use the FSB for the first time in a Cobra.

The resulting shave is what I would equate to very close to a straight razor shave. I had the shave in 2 passes that I normally get in 3 with the the Pro and Titan.

Thought I'd pass this along to anyone who might not have tried the FSB yet and who like a very close aggressive shave in either the Cobra or Mongoose.

I've read that the Supers don't fit in all the Cobras due to their extra width. Glad they fit in yours and you got the results that you did. Enjoy those great razors Randy!

I switched today to the SP in the Mongoose and agree it's superior to the Feather Pro. The wider width and thicker blade makes all the difference in the world. This was part of 4 blades I bought from tryablade.com. Next up will be the Kai Sharpblade.

Man, y'all are making me want to spend some time with the Supers to see what I was missing. To me so far, they can the same shave as the Pros, but with much more focus & concentration needed. I can have fun whipping the 'Goose around my face with a Pro and no concerns. Do that with a Super & I'll be hamburger.

13!!! Wow! I could never get more than 10 and that was pushing it. It was usually 7-8 comfortable ones. Darn Portuguese beard! Biggrin

I'm surprised too. I have a thick, wiry beard. I would never push a DE blade like this. Ha!

Impressive! Randy, you might as well just start using a straight as you can get way more shaves with one! Biggrin
