I appreciate old stuff, and this bowl appears to be pretty old -- maybe late 1700s or early 1800s. Don't know for sure, though.

It's somewhat soft, but I wouldn't say fragile. I've never noticed any sign of leeching; however, but my guess is it has some lead content.

OP I have one like it that ... not as old.   same size and look.   found it cheap at an antique mall.   Love it!
