As anyone used this stuff?. I have such a rough beard and sometimes I think using a shave oil would do me wonders. If you use oil how do you use it. A friend of mine puts it on then puts his lather right on top and says the glide is amazing.

That's exactly how I use it with my straights and it's fantastic.
I also use it alone when I use my Cobra Classic for a wonderful 3 pass BBS.

A very good oil and the balm is also an excellent product.

When I use it I do the oil and lather thing. I have used it alone and it worked well that way also.

Iain makes/sells an excellent product.

Celestino I have the most coarse bed I believe and I hate it. Oh well, lately the Cobra and RR soft soaps have been giving me the best shave with Proraso per shave cream.

I use both the oil & balm regularly, I use the oil as a pre shave...really work it in and let it absorb a bit before I put the soap & brush to it....as I have some concerns about getting too much oil on my badger brushes. When used this way I think it really helps with the shave and post-skin conditioning. I've even used the oil post shave and it really is a great skin healer. Nothing but natural oils in the oil & balm.

That said...to successfully use these products...you do have to enjoy patchouli...Biggrin
