Recently purchased this soap on the BST forum and I am unsure of the scent. The soap itself performs wonderfully with a great lather, nice slickness and good cushioning. The thing I am not sure is of the fragrance itself. It is very fresh but doesn't feel that the scent really stands out for me. Anyone else have any experience with this particular Jabonman soap?

I had this scent and it wasn't my favorite (nor my wife's Sad). The performance of the soap itself was, of course, outstanding as all Jabonman soaps are IMO, but this one helped me discover that I'm not really a fan of Ylang-Ylang Blush

The old formula(to me) was a MUCH better scent, it was more orange and patchouli with a hint of Ylang-Ylang and was my favorite of all soaps, scent wise and performance... now it's just a great performer with a so-so scent YMMV..

Sounds like I would of enjoyed the old formula much better I don't get any orange and little patchouli. Bummer because I also picked up his Ylang Yang aftershave balm as well.

I would really like to try the Tierra Humede.

I had it and liked the lather, but the scent was only so, so. I ended up trading it for Tierra Humeda, which was much better for my tastes, yet the lather was pretty much the same.

I was interested in that one as well, but it looks like you beat me to the punch. If you like, PM me and I'll take it off your hands if you feel it's not for you. If not, no big deal, maybe you just need to spend more time with it.

I couldn't agree with you more, Scott.

This scent was my introduction to the JabonMan soaps back in 2011, and it almost, instantly, became my favourite scent of all. I believe, was it still made to the original scent, today, this would still be the case.

Manuel told me a couple of years ago that he changed the scent by request. I asked him if he could reverse that and go back to the original. He told me he had plans to do that with the next batch, but it never materialised.

I have a little of the old and it is sparingly used... It was my #1 soap and like "Optometrist" was my introduction to Jabonman soaps... Manuel if you read this PLEASE change back!! I'd buy 5 pounds of it myself!!
