After having a collection of over 80 soaps/creams at a certain point (not too long ago) , and after testing a lot of new artisan shaving soaps (very well done , artisans ! ) , I have been able to downsized my cream collection to 10 different ones , and I expect to downsized even more , to maybe 5 or 6. This is my collection now :

-Santa Maria la Novella old formula

-Acqua di Parma old formula

-Proraso green

-Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet

-Jabonman Citricos

-Truefitt and Hill Lavender

-RazoRock XXX

-RazoRock XX

-RazoRock Fresco

-Coates lavender.

Im sure that I will test some more soaps/creams in the future , but got to a point that I know what I like ( specially scent wise ) , what works for my very dry skin.If only Creed would make a Original Vetiver shaving cream...I can only wish !

I got down to my top 5 about 6 weeks ago, all different brands, and planned to not acquire anymore until one was gone.

That lasted about a month, when I acquired two more and have not been able to part with two to get back down to 5. I'm kind of irritated by it, to be honest.

Good news...good to see someone has the will power. I was doing good until I ran in to Jabonman and Saponificio Varesino. I have some soaps and creams that do not get much use I should BST.

Take care,
Ed

That is very admirable. I would like to perform a similar clean-up.
How about telling us, step by step, how you did it? I have over 40 soaps in rotation, still buying more and need to make room. I cannot figure out what to keep and what to get rid of.

Well done & great choices!

I am doing a similar downsizing (for the third time) and am excited about using a favorite everyday

Is the Blenheim Bouquet the soap or cream? I have some Sartorial soap and I'm considering buying one of their creams to go with it because I'm pretty impressed with it.

You know, sometimes I feel the same way. There are still some Artisan brands I want to try, but I canot bring myself to sell off what I don't use all that often. Even though they are good performers, I really only use 4-5 consistently. I need to sell 10-12 at this point.

Excellen, mano!

I guess I have gone a few steps further as I, principally, use only one soap with one other thrown in which makes 2! Biggrin

Good luck with decreasing the den!

Good choices, Teiste. I'm still trying to get new stuff and continue to build; as I only have about 5 that I've tried EVER!
