Picked up this vintage Hoffritz Slant recently.  This razor is in great shape.  It does show some slight wear, but no damage. These vintage German made razors are very popular! At the base of the handle is engraved "Hoffritz NY  M.I. Germany"  (Made in Germany.)

This razor is ready to shave with, or it would be an excellent candidate for replating.  Asking $65 with CONUS shipping included.  Price Reduced to $55!

Is this a two piece or three piece?

I have inquired about replating on the Hoffritz Slant (I have one in need of restoration) and was told it can't be done due to the material used in the head.

Do you have a vendor who can do it?

The Hoffritz slant is a 2 piece. I don't have a vendor for replating but I would be surprised if it couldn't be replated Using a slant isn't difficult. It just has a different feel. Kind of like using an open comb razor.

From what I have read online, these razors can be replated in nickel. Or it can be used as it is!

Can't believe this is still here, I always found the hoffritz a little smoother than the merkur.

Although I do not use a DE I would consider a slant if I ever went back. Correct me if I'm wrong, I can remember early last year, Hoffritz slants going well north of $150 with the box and in much worse shape than this one. It would appear to me that the herd values the mongoose, go figure. I think this is a smoking deal. GLWTS!

I paid $200.00 several months ago for a minty Hoffritz with box and blade banks.

I normally see the minty Hoffritz slants selling for close to $200.  I really figured that this would be an easy sale at $65.  I'm also surprised that it hasn't sold for $55.  Most of the time slant razors are super popular and Hoffritz razors don't show up for sale all that often.

Hopefully someone will decide to buy it.  I really don't want to put it on eBay.

Candidate for replate is a huge red flag. I have never heard of a replated Hoffritz. The razor in its current condition is all it is ever going to be.

I would put it on eBay, you don't owe anyone here anything.
