I received this picture from a Chinese brush maker , and it seems that the Silvertip fibre 3rd generation is already at hand. The fibre are even thinner and the look of real silvertip hair is even more real. Now I would have to try one and I wonder if these are the fibre that Simpson are currently using in their synthetic brushes.

Interesting .. I concur with Balaji .. the knot makers should lose the 3-band look with these synthetics .. Smile

I'll take a stab and say they look similar to the fibres that Vulfix posted on Twitter a while back while teasing their new Duke-like line of synths. I could be totally off-base but I'm basing this on the perceived thinness of the fibres and the way they "glitter" under the light of the camera box. Totally unscientific, I know.

Looks interesting, any timeline for these fibers? Or is nothing quite yet known about them?

Looks amazing! Which maker did you source the knot from? I have a couple of handles in need of knots...

Teiste, are you still going to compare the Edwin Jagger STF XL to the Muhle STF XL? I'm very curious what you will find.

Any thoughts yet on how the Muhle compares to the Edwin Jagger?

Teiste, great to hear that another possible knot is in the works. I am curious to hear what you think of these. I will mention that in that Muhle video posted recently that they said they make the fibre in house. So to clarify, are people mentioning that Simpson/Plisson/Omega/Kent are sourcing Chinese fibers?

When you decide to post more, can you take note of the quality in the knot construction, please. Thanks.

It seems that a number of members here are interested in the availability of this knot. Add me to the list.
