I enjoy lime scented soaps and I'm looking for the most natural scented, longest lasting AS splash. I've used Captains Choice, but it didn't stick around as long as I'd like. My Soap Commander Respect balm is great, but I'd like a splash. Looking for suggestions.

Thanks,
Barry

A long-lasting lime splash? I seem to recall TOBS No. 74 lingering longer than CC.

The old Royall Lyme was a fine product. I can't say firsthand how much difference there is between the product now and the way it used to be.

I love limes and have tried a bunch.

Truefitt is nice, but very sweet.  Was too sweet for me.

Wm Neumann makes a nice lime with super healing properties.  It's jolly rancher lime mostly and it is strongly scented.  I used it from time to time.  If you want pure lime it's worth a try.  It won't be confused for cleaning agents like Castle Forbes.

My favorite is a lime blend - Lotion Opaline - which has become difficult to source in the US.  It is fantastic stuff.

Wm Newman sounds great! I am hoping for a true lime, if possible. I haven't tried any of their products, do I may have to go with that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Royall Lymes is an outstanding aftershave.

The fresh lime burst does fade into a warm spicy scent, but the lime does resurface throughout the day.  I bought a big bottle off of FragrenceNet for a reasonable price & free shipping

Lime scents just don't stick around very long. Geo. F. Trumper's Extract of Limes aftershave is my favorite, smells just like limes to me, but is as fleeting as Bay Rum unfortunately.

I'm a fan of lime scents and here's what I like - a few dabs of RazoRock Evil Eye lime wax (it's a thick cream) and then a using Evil Eye lime lotion (it's a splash) to help spread things around. A sweeter, pure lime scent with a bit of menthol from the lotion, not long lasting but not many lime scents are.

Booster's Iced Lime is a very sweet lime scent (like lime jello) and it has a bit of staying power. It may be discontinued but I see it for sale.

I've heard great things about the Saint Charles splash but I have not tried it yet.

Great input from everyone, thanks to all! I still haven't decided for sure what to try. I'm currently using Fine L'orange Noir or Soap Commander Respect balm with my lime soaps.

Gabel's Lime A/S is pretty good. it is a old timey barbershop scent.  Gary has it at the shoebox i believe.

Gabels is good, I like it, and the price is right. Every now and then I will reach for the Dominica Bay Rum - Lime, smells nice, my favorite so far.

Royall Lymes is a fine lime scent and lasts a fair bit on me.  Just a warning though...use sparingly, else the toilet bowl cleanser component comes out.  I also like TOBS No 74.  It is a bit more fleeting and has poor sillage according to my wife, but I catch whiffs of it all day when I wear it.

The St Charles Shave Lime with a Twist is a nice one, too.  To me it smells like it has a coconut component.  Very pleasing to my nose, but my wife finds it too 'tropical' for her tastes.  Still, I wear it on occasion and get quite a few compliments...as the afore mentioned Royall Cologne, the St Charles Shave needs just a dab.

My bottle is very old and was crafted for me by Sue.

Good luck - everyone should have at least one lime scented cologne in their den.

TOBS 74 Victorian Lime is the only one I've tried where the scent stays for a while. Trumpers is really nice but goes away as soon as you've applied it.

The Original:  St. Johns West Indian Lime .  Around for something like 70 years.  (Actually, 69, but that number [soixante-neuf] has a double entendre for the French speakers.

Nothing equals St. Johns:  it is a "dark" lime, with earthy vétiver undertones, rich -- in all senses of the word -- and elegant.  Nothing like "Life Saver" lime or sugary lime candy.  St. Johns has an adult scent, definitely not compatible with pimply-faced adolescents.  This is what James Bond was wearing when he seduced all those luscious women.
