Hello,

Recently I put my hands in this brush and make some research about it.
So, it's a solid sterling silver chubby size 1 filled with 2 bands hairs, knot is 25X49mm
the hairs looks to be the original ones, loft have a strange shape but it's a pleasure to use, soft as cloud and good backbone.
Handle itself is not really heavy, 78gr. for the all brush.

I do some search on the hallmarks engraved :

TFS : Initials of the maker, perhaps Tom F. Simpson

Lion : [Image: quXYyGf.jpg] for Sterling silver

Leopard head : [Image: mjin89H.jpg] for London

J : [Image: KOrrIUV.jpg] for 1983

Thanks for looking !

Chris

thanks all !

It comes with the same stickers but in poor condition and when clean the handle, the stickers goes away so I replace with a new "old" one.

Very nice find, Chris! Those Sterling Chubbies are rare, I believe this is only the 3rd one I've seen!

Maybe somebody could enlighten me, I'm guessing these were always a special order item and never in the general catalog?
