I came across this lather bowl. It's well thought out. It has ridges in the bottom to help produce lather and it has a place to hold your brush between passes. It comes in 3 colors. Seems pretty cool.

They never were in stock. This is a new offering from Mr. Fine , he's been advertising it since early December and targeted late Dec. for release. That was moved back to mid January . I believer they are shipping from a factory over seas.

just received one and it's okay.  made in Thailand.  is fairly shallow which I actually like but there's no way to keep the lather warm like a scuttle would.

I have one and it does well in creating lather.  Love the look as well all in all a good bowl, i get my lather a little warm by leaving it in the sink as i fill the sink with hot water and leave it there while i prep.  Helps a little bit (a noticible difference than not doing it) but not nearly as warm as if you were to use a scuttle.
