I can't seem to add members to my buddy list. I click on the members name and I'm taken to their profile, I click on "add to my buddies list," then nothing...it won't let me add a name in the box. Could you check that out.

When I add you it adds your user name to my requested list.

Ah, I see that now. Scrolling down helps A6 I saw your request to add me as buddy. Then you click on accept or reject. I clicked "reject"  Laughing1 Not really.

Bryan,

I sent you a request to become buddy. Scroll down on the buddies & enemies area to see my request. I hope it worked.

I just added my first buddy. Its quite a cumbersome process. First I see the buddy request in my pm inbox. Then I have to go to my user cp and search then request that person to be my buddy. Then going back in and scrolling back down to buddies/enemies, I can accept or decline their buddy request.

phew. coffee break time.

I must admit I never used the buddy system very much because it is so cumbersome.

I also have never used the buddy list myself.  what is the actual purpose of it?

The purpose, I believe, is to make it easier to ignore your "enemies" and have a drop down list of "buddies" to see if your friends are online and quickly PM them.

Seeing as how we're all friends here, I don't think I'll use this feature at all. Others may find it useful or even critical to have, so like so many other things YMMV  Tongue

Under the old forum you could access your buddy list when sending a PM. Now the buddy list does not show up in the PM section. It was a useful tool for finding addresses quickly when wanting to send a PM to someone you had on that list.

Johnny, I am pretty sure I took that out as I was told that the buddy system was not really used. I will put it back in Smile
