I have tried contacting Lee Sabini with no avail.... I would love to have one of his brushes, 26-30mm knot, 46-50mm loft, fan shape, blonde or finest badger, I am open to handle shapes just no chubby or super short handle. I really like the blue and black swirl I've seen as well as the jade and amber.. Any advice, help or direction would be most appreciated.

i have no idea of how one contacts mr sabini, but i am curious to how your first contact with him looked in writing. if it's not too unpolite of me to ask, could you give an example of what you wrote to him?

Thanks everyone,

Keep trying to email him.  Email weekly if you have to, one may get through.  Some say don't be specific in what you ask for, but if you want something specific, nothing else will make you happy.  That's my thought, others think differently and will just blindly ask for a brush and be happy with anything he sends.

When you can, post a WTB for a used one if you are still in need.

Thanks everyone,

Agreed with Ravi, Patience :-)

Based on my experience with Lee, sometimes if you are very detail it works and sometimes doesn't as Lee has limited stock handles . So don't ask for a specific knot size or handle. Just ask for available brushes in stock.Lee will send you pictures. For God knows why he always has too much POLO's available . If you are into polo you are in luck.

Given the Keyser Sozesque nature of acquisition through him, why not just send brief "I'll buy whatever you feel like selling me." emails every 2wks or so?  As so many are awaiting at the nightclub's queue it seems rather assured trading it off if it isn't going to be hard or cost you anything, in fact you could probably profit a bit, and eventually you'll get one you'll never part with.

Thanks everyone,

I have been trying to get my hands on a cobalt M&F for a while now. Unfortunately Lee hasn't stocked that color rod in quite a while. I spoke with him last night and he doesn't have any Jade on hand at the moment although I declined a coral Victorian style handle that you might try for.

A coral Victorian would be a beauty.

I bought a couple others that were more appealing to me than the Victorian. I wasn't all that taken with the 3/3 I recieved a while ago and the Victorian is even taller. I guess I just prefer smaller brushes

You do know that there are a few other places that you can get brushes just as good as M&F's, don't you?  If you are very determined, just post a WTB ad on a few forums which might bring you a quicker resolution. Good luck.

I sent weekly emails and hit paydirt in week 8. It was a real test of patience,  frustrating but I was thrilled with the results. I told him a few handle styles that I liked and said I would be open to other ideas as well.  Hope it works out for you!

I guess I live a charmed life. I only tried to contact Lee once. It was regarding a brush to celebrate my 60th birthday. A week or so later I received a reply, and a few weeks after that I received my 28x50 2-band finest in an "ivory" polo handle. It's already one of my favorites.

True, with Mr. Lee must have patience!
I wrote in late November asking one Chief! He replied that he had one in ivory and so we agreed on the price, I have made the payment through PayPal and brush I arrived in early January !!
Fantastic brush !! It is worth the wait !!
