I've been on a boar kick here recently.  I bought an Omega #10029 aka "Baby Pro" and HATED the cheap plastic handle.  The knot was nice, so I decided to remove it from the Omega handle.  I took it out, and the black plastic cup was just over 24mm on my calipers.

I ordered a 24mm handle from Larry at Whipped Dog.  Needless to say, the cup wouldn't fit in the hole, so I used a 31/32" drill bit (about 24.5mm) and drilled out the handle.  I needed depth as well as more room, so I had to wobble the bit a little to enlarge the hole.

I just set the knot with some epoxy.  I think it looks really good.  It also has some nice heft to it with the WD handle.  The black ring looks good on the white (Ivory) handle too.

I don't have a before pic of my actual brush, but here's one from the Omega website

Hi Brian

Very! nicely done Thumbup

And I'm in total agreement with you on the WD handle looking a LOT! better than the *original* Omega one...

Take care, Mike

That looks great. Congrats.

Another option would be to cut the black sleeve off the omega knot.  Just one vertical cut and the knot pops out.  You may have been able to get away without drilling the handle.

I have a baby pro knot in an old rubberset handle.
