who has had one, and did you prefer it to the glass jar? how does the soap keep without the cover does the scent hold up or will it fade out over time? thinking about ordering a regular scent and love the bowl but was curious as to how it keeps?

I've had the brain bowl for about a year. I haven't noticed that the scent has diminished at all. You're right, the bowl looks fantastic, my only complaint is I can't stack anything on top of it (I keep all my soaps and creams in larger drawers in the bathroom vanity). At least not until I've used it enough to get below the height of the bowl, and I don't want to shave the top off.

Looks good, works good, and you do not loose the scent. As a matter of fact, MdC recommends you leave the lid off of the jar. I personally prefer the jar for one reason, I can take it with me when I travel

I really like the look of the soap in the bowl even though the scent doesn't agree with me! Good luck with your decision.

I actually did find that the scent would fade with time, but it was certainly still there.

If you want the brain bowl but also want something for travel, you can have both.

The brain bowl comes over packed with soap. Take a kitchen knife and cut/scrap off the top section of soap and pack it into what ever container you want to. Just the top overflow will last for months.

I only purchased the brain bowl so cannot compare to glass jar. I must be the odd guy out because I feel that the scent has diminished significantly. Performance is still excellent, but I don't think I would order the bowl again.
