This is my latest brush rack/holder.  I wanted to do something a little different.  Woods are Zebra, Padauk, and Imbuya.  I prefer to hang my brushes after a shave and this provides convenient storage.  Brushes are all Semogue:  620, 830, SOC boar, and a SOC 2-Band.

Thanks for looking.

Ed

This is a great idea, and beautifully executed.  I like the idea of going up - it's space efficient, and still allows good air flow to dry the brushes.  Although it works well and is attractive, the stand shown in my avatar takes up valuable counter space.  This one solves that dilemma.  Nice job.

I also remember seeing the one in the your avatar - that is like a piece of art.

Match this with the razor handle set that was displayed and shaving nook will be in perfect harmony. Do you coat it with something to protect against the water?

Thanks for the kind words and I apologize for not responding sooner.  Attached are a couple of pictures - the dimensions and the template used to determine the size of the opening for the brush handle.  For the subsequent question on finish, I use Watco Danish Oil. I dry the brushes as well as I can after each shave and have not encountered any water/wood finish issues.

These are fun to make.

Thats an awesome setup. you should add some kind of connector maybe a few holes to the top and pegs in the bottom so when you want to you can add another row and take it all the way to the ceiling.  Great job!  You thinking of selling these or do you just make for personals?
