Not sure the best place to post this on TSN, therefore Admins/Mods please feel free to move (if necessary)...

Today, while going through some boxes (originally shipped from the UK when I moved across here, back in 2006), I found this beautiful Boots (Chemist) soap dish (made in Japan).

Spoke with my mum on the phone (she bought it for me back in the day), we both agree it must be at least 20 to 25 years old...

That is classy looking.  Will a puck of MWF fit inside?

Hi Johnny

Internal measurements of the dish:
  • Diameter 78mm / 3 1/16inch
  • Depth (height) 30mm / 1 3/16inch
Take care, Mike

Very nice dish.

I like the Boots stick and didn't know that they made a puck. Or did they at one time make a puck and no longer do?

This is a dish for a toilet soap, not a shaving soap.

I love it! Does anyone know where you can buy something similar? I already have the Mitchell's Wool Fat dish like this, but if there are others like this, I'd love to have them too!

Hi Brian

Take a look here, Boots Shave Bowl Original.

If you're a very good (and lucky) boy, keep your eye on your mail during the second half of June of this year...

Take care, Mike

WOW! Eeeeek Gorgeous ceramic dish!
I already know (and enjoy) the current Boots shaving puck, but this ceramic dish is in a different level! Lovely!

Congratulations!

I saw your photo and swore Henry Sandon was talking about it. I feel, to put anything but a british soap in it would be decidedly UNAmerican.
