I picked up a badger brush recently on Amazon.com and have used it several times. It's a "Perfecto" ... much like the Tweezerman brush. Anyway, I
noticed a couple of days ago that it has a nasty badger hair knot tangled up in the very center. Is this normal? How the heck do I get it untangled?

Thanks,

That doesn't sound very good. The quality just might "knot" be there. I wouldn't call this normal; not even close.

Do you have picture? I have had that happen to a horse hair brush. I got it out with by gently using a comb.

I hear you, man! Well, fortunately I did get it out with a comb and a sharp tweezer-like little tool! Ha! Crazy, I've no idea how that happened but it's back to normal now. What do you expect for $13 bucks, eh?

Thanks for the reply.  With a little patience I was able to get it out with a comb and a sharp point. I never dawned on my to post a pic!

That's good to hear! Yeah, I'm usually skeptical about really cheap brushes, unless vintage and at antique shoes shops; however, my Body Shop Brush is actually pretty good.

I recently got the same brush.  Must admit I'm not too crazy about it (although there are no knots in it), as when lathering all the brush hairs drift to the perimeter while the center of the brush is kind of hollow.  It does do the job, however, so for the money I can't really complain.
