Is it me or is this cream better performance wise than the 3 T's and DR HARRIS creams ??

I own 6 creams from DR HARRIS, 8 creams from TF&H, 7 creams from TOBS and 5 creams from GFT. All perform great, the less stellar is TOBS (but also priced cheaper) but I bought all 5 St. James creams in the glass containers and they are just a tiny step above in performance and post shave feel IMHO.

All made by Creighton. All have similarities but St. James takes a shaving cream to the next level.

Not quite Xpec or Acqua Di Parma level, but quite close.

I'd rate St. James of London shaving cream a solid 9/10
Great stuff.

Purchased two of my 5 St. James at the Creighton direct shop (they only had two, had to buy the other 3 from another shop for £15 a pot) at half price. Paid £19 for two 150 ml glass pots including shipping to Denmark. This is below £10 for a 150 ml high end shaving cream.

You can't beat that !!

So far my favourite scent is sandalwood & bergamot followed by Black Pepper & Lime followed by cedarwood & clarysage. Mandarins & patchouli is also quite nice and even better for the upcoming spring and summer. Lastly the unscented for sensitive skin still has lavender & geranium in it, and works year round.
I enjoy all 5 scents and think they did a fine job at nailing all 5 scents.

Haven't tried the creams but I did try a soap sample. I must admit I was quite surprised how good the soap was.

My favorite is the cedarwood & clarysage. When I bought some jars a few years ago this was the only one they had, the other one was a patchouli but this was a brushless cream back then. Seems like I need to order some.

It's already only £7.50 on the Creighton Beauty site. I just included shipping to Denmark in my calculation.
I only paid £15 for two 150 ml glass pots ;-)

Update: the  special offer is now gone.

I used the Mandarin Patchouli this evening. Performance is great, the lather is very dense and thick . I lifted the cup with the lathered brush because the lather was so thick...
However, the smell is hardly there. There is something, but it is a noble hint of a smell. A soap with an aroma. It felt kind of cold, weak in such terms

Anybody else who noticed this?

It is an awesome cream by its virtue of performance, so...will lather again

The Black Pepper & Lime is a nice scent and not too overpowering.  I have some pots from the special offer on the way and will check for a light scent in the Mandarin.  I agree the performance is fantastic.  A top tier cream.  I love the consistency in the jar and lather it produces.  Creighton has a winner with their St. James lineup.

I got the Cedarwood & Clarysage. My entire bathroom smells of it, so no scent issues here Smile Lathers like a bawss, great cream indeed.

Just got this last week, love the smell but the scent is really faint like you said. Have you had any luck after more lathers? Thinking about selling.

didn ´t use it again, but like the raw matter a lot, so am keeping mine.  Good to hear I am not the only one with a weak smelling sample. According to the other reports in this thread, scent seem to vary in strength

I got mine a few days ago. The Mandarin and Patchouli has a light but pleasant scent. I wouldn't call it faint. Quite a bit more scent though with the Cedarwood and Clarysage but I like both of them. One shave so far and it was very good. The Valentines sale was an incredible bargain. I'd like to try other scents and will watch for future sales.

Got to love all the TF goods, I had a great shave while in London 6 months ago. Going back in April and gonna do it again!

I have a jar of the previous range, they gave it away on the Beauty at Crieghton's site before they increased their prices.  It would be interesting if these creams excelled better than the creams that Creighton's/P&M make for others....

The jars are back to 15.00 GBP....

I've used the Sandalwood & Bergamot shave cream and ASB several times now.
I agree that this is an excellent product; top tier in terms of performance, packaging/presentation, and at a reasonable price too.
